Nicholas Jagels, counsellor and psychotherapist in Hertford

Hello, I’m Nic

I’m a BACP-registered integrative counsellor and psychotherapist offering warm, thoughtful and down-to-earth support for adults experiencing difficulties in their lives.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative and shaped around you as an individual. I believe therapy works best when you feel able to be yourself, without judgement, and explore what matters to you at a pace that feels comfortable.

My clients come from all backgrounds and walks of life. Whatever brings you here, I aim to offer a safe and welcoming space where you can feel heard, respected and supported.

My path to counselling

My path into counselling was not a conventional one. After many years working in film and theatre, I decided to retrain at CPPD Counselling School in London.

I completed a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling and established my private practice in central London in 2015. Since the pandemic, I have worked from Hertford, Hertfordshire, seeing clients both in person and online.

Having experienced the value of counselling personally, I understand how meaningful and transformative it can be to feel genuinely heard and understood. That experience and belief in the value of therapy sit at the heart of the work I do today.

I know first-hand how meaningful it can be to feel genuinely heard and understood.
